Nordic Lights is a one-hour performance with conductor Gudrun Dahlkvist and Magnus Holmander as a soloist and visual effects' artist. The concert includes music from Nordic composers intertwined with visuals, created by Magnus, projected against the wall behind the orchestra.
Starting of with Albert Schnelzer's Burn My Letters the visuals consists of a foggy pattern representing a dark night, seamlessly going into Karin Rehnqvist's clarinet concerto. The concerto is originally written for one clarinet soloist and two clarinet players backstage. The backstage players will now be performed by two digital versions of Magnus on screen instead (see "Visuals"). Finally ending with Jean Sibelius Symphony No. 7 the fog disappears turning into a clear black sky with subtle visuals representing Aurora Lights.
